1-31-09, Brooklyn Box 310, Located at 141 Division avenue in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. The fire was in a 3 story Commercial building containing a medical center and pharmacy on the first floor and a catering hall on the 2nd floor. There was a heavy fire condition in the middle of the building. Units had a hard time getting access to the fire. The building is a triangular building that fronted on 2 streets. The sids information stated that the build had an unsafe maze condition and parts of the structure was unstable. An exterior attack was maintained using 4 tower ladders and numerous handlines. The above photo was taken from the roof of a building across the street from the fire. The following photos shows some of the operations at the scene.

Engine Company 211 operates from the exposure 1 side on Division Ave.

Ladder company 104 had to move their rig, so a tower ladder could setup and operate.

The field communications units command board keeps track of the units who are operating at the scene. A drawing is made of the fire building and tiles representing units are placed in the drawing. The black tiles are engine companies and red tiles are ladder companies.

The FDNY EMS Command also has their own status board.

EMS units are standing by in case they are needed.
