May31, 2015 - Major Emergency signal 10-60 at Manhattan box 729 Located at 261 Madison Ave & E 38th Street. As a crane was raising up a huge chiller unit to the top of a 30 story building, The cable suddeenly collapsed, sending the unit crashing down 28 stories severly damaging a number of buildings and injuring 10 people. The collapse caused a large hole in the building on the 28th floor and damaged numerous windows. The strret was full of debris. After the injured were removed, firefighters did a search and the braced 3 of the damaged floors and took numerous windows that were in danger of falling.
